Mango pineapple margarita
Sweet mango, juicy pineapple, a hint of chilli, and a classic salty rim come together for the ultimate summer margarita.
- ½ cup fresh pineapple chopped
- ½ cup fresh semi-ripe mango chopped
- 100 ml tequila
- 50 ml chilli syrup
- 40 ml lime juice
- pinch tamarind paste optional
- 2-3 tbsp chilli salt
- ice
For the chilli syrup
- ⅓ cup sugar
- ⅓ cup water
- 2-3 chillies
For the margarita
In a sturdy mixing glass or cocktail shaker, add the pineapple and mango chunks.
Use a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon to thoroughly crush the fruit, extracting as much juice as possible.
Strain the muddled fruit through a fine mesh sieve into a shaker, pressing down with a spoon to extract the liquid. Discard the solids.
Add tequila, lime juice, and chili-infused simple syrup to the shaker with the fruit juice.
Add ice and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
Fill prepared glasses with fresh ice.
Strain the margarita mixture into the glasses.
Garnish with a lime wedge or a slice of mango or pineapple. Serve immediately and savor the tropical vibes!
